Terms of Service

Personalized Songs is a web tool that makes an original song about one person, as a gift. You type their first name, who they are to you, the occasion, a music style, a female or male voice and, if you like, a few memories. An AI model writes lyrics from those details and you can edit every word; another AI model sings a 30-second preview of the chorus; and if you pay, it sings the full song, about two minutes long, in two versions you can download as MP3 files and share through a private link. The two versions are made at the same time; if one of them fails, you get the one that worked.

Lyrics and the preview are free within daily limits. Full songs are paid. What each option includes is on the pricing page. We may change, pause or stop any feature, including the free ones. When demand is very high we may pause new full songs for a while; your code isn't used while we do.

The site isn't affiliated with Google or with any record label, artist or music service.

Lyrics are written by Google's Gemini model, and the music and singing are generated by Google DeepMind's Lyria model, both running on Google Cloud (Vertex AI). Every song carries Google's SynthID watermark, which can't be heard but identifies the audio as AI-generated. The singer is an AI voice. We don't imitate real singers and we don't sing existing songs or their lyrics: safety filters block requests for a named artist's voice or for copyrighted lyrics, and the lyric writer is told to leave out real singers, bands and song titles even if your story mentions them.

AI can get things wrong, including how a name is pronounced. That's why you can edit the lyrics and hear a free preview before you pay. Please read the lyrics before you give the song to anyone.

The site is for adults, 18 or older, making a song as a gift. It isn't made for children, and children shouldn't use it. You can make a song for your son or daughter, but you, the adult, fill in the form.

Only type what the song needs. Please don't type sensitive information such as health or financial details, addresses, or anything about a child beyond a first name. The privacy policy explains what happens to what you type.

Use the site to make songs for people you know, as gifts. You must not:

• make songs that harass, threaten, demean or sexualize anyone, or that are hateful or illegal;
• try to make a song imitate a real singer, or include existing songs or lyrics;
• use a song to impersonate someone, or pass it off as the work of a real artist;
• type details about another person that you have no right to share;
• try to make the models produce harmful content by putting instructions in the form;
• get around the free limits, for example by switching devices, browsers or networks;
• send automated traffic, scrape the site, call its endpoints from your own scripts or overload it;
• try to break into, probe or copy the service.

You must also follow Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy, which applies to everything made with the models we use.

If you come across a song or share page made on this site that breaks these rules (for example, it harasses, threatens or sexualizes someone, imitates a real singer, uses existing lyrics, or puts a child at risk), or a song that uses your name or your story without your agreement, please report it to hello@personalizedsongs.app. Put "Report" in the subject and include the share link (or the song title and the first name in it) and what is wrong. You don't need to have bought anything to report a song.

What happens after you report:

• We confirm we've received your report within 2 business days, and within 24 hours for anything about a child's safety or a threat of violence.
• We check the song, its lyrics and the details that were typed in against these terms and Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy.
• If the song breaks them, we delete it, its audio files and its share page. We may also cancel the code used to make it and block the device or network that made it, as described under "If you break these terms". Illegal content, including anything that sexualizes a child, is reported to the authorities.
• We usually finish within 5 business days and tell you what we did. We keep the name and email of the person who reported a song private.

If we removed your song and you think we got it wrong, reply to our email within 14 days and we will look at it again.

Once you've paid for a song, you may use it for personal purposes: give it, play it at a party or an event, put it in your own videos and post it on social media. When you post it, please say it was made with AI. You must not present the song as the work of a human singer or songwriter, use it to train AI models, or use it to impersonate anyone. Commercial uses, such as selling the song or using it in advertising, aren't included.

Google doesn't claim ownership of what its generative AI services create (Section 20 of the Google Cloud Service Specific Terms), and we give you whatever rights we have in your song. Copyright in AI-generated music is unsettled in many countries, so we can't promise that anyone holds exclusive rights in it. The same or similar lyrics or music can be generated for other people, because that is how these models work.

You keep any rights you have in what you type.

• Lyrics and previews are free within the daily limits: up to 8 sets of lyrics and one 30-second preview a day on each device, with no account.
• A full song costs $9.99 and three songs cost $19.99. Each is a one-time payment; there is no subscription and nothing renews.
• The price is the one on the pricing page when you buy. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects songs you've already paid for.
• Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Waffo Pancake (waffo.ai), which sells you the song pack, takes the payment, handles sales tax or VAT and issues your receipt. Its own terms apply to the payment. If we change merchant of record, we'll update this page.
• After you pay, your code is saved in the browser you paid in and emailed to you. Keep it private, because anyone with the code can use the songs on it. A code works only on this site and can't be resold or exchanged for cash.

A song that has been delivered isn't refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. A song that fails because of a fault on our side isn't counted against your code. If every version you got sings the name wrong or has an obvious problem, write to us within 14 days and we'll remake it for free or refund that song. The full rules are in our refund policy.

We keep a full song (its title, the first name, the occasion, the style, the lyrics and the audio) for up to 400 days so your download and share page keep working. Download the MP3 files if you want to keep the song longer. Anyone with the share link can listen, so only share it with people you trust; share pages are hidden from search engines. Email us to delete a song sooner.

The site is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, we make no promises, express or implied, that it will always be available, free of errors or fit for a particular purpose, or that every song will be exactly what you hoped for. The songs are made by models running on a third-party service that can fail or change without notice.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for how a song is received. Our total liability to you for anything to do with the site is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before your claim, or USD 10 if you haven't paid anything.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away your rights as a consumer where you live.

There are no user accounts on this site. If you break these terms, we may block your device or network from making songs, refuse further purchases, and cancel a code that was used to break them. A code cancelled for breaking these terms isn't refunded, except where the law requires otherwise. If something you type is illegal, we may report it to the authorities.

We may update these terms of service. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change matters, for example to prices or to what we keep, we'll point it out on this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply. A change never takes away songs you've already paid for.
